The openness of the world, the cross-linguistic nature, and the explosion of information in today's era have led us to use modern technological means to speed up the process of information transmission, which paves the way for the use of computers in the field of translation. Since computers in our contemporary era are closely connected to the Internet and the world of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence has produced software and applications that help us translate. These software and applications have made great progress in the field of translation and have implemented many translation projects, but they still have some shortcomings in some aspects of translation, which is in the translation from Arabic to other languages, especially from Arabic to Chinese. The subject of this study is to study some of the shortcomings that arise in the translation process that relies on machine translation software and applications. These shortcomings are mainly concentrated on translating terms from Arabic to Chinese and vice versa. In this research, I will review the linguistic background of proverbs and sayings between the Arabic and Chinese languages, then we will mention a group of proverbs and sayings from the Arabic language into the Chinese language and vice versa, and how machine translation applications and programs dealt with them in terms of translation, with a statement of the correctness or error of this translation.
